01 - 2 teaspoons hojicha powder (roasted green tea powder)
02 - 1/2 cup hot water, approximately 175°F

→ Milk

03 - 1 1/2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)

06 - Serve immediately, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of hojicha powder.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The roasted tea profile provides a unique caramel and nutty flavor unlike any other latte.
  • Naturally lower in caffeine than matcha or coffee, making it perfect for relaxing moments.
  • Simple to prepare at home in just 10 minutes with basic kitchen tools.
02 -
  • Ensure the water is around 80°C (175°F); boiling water can sometimes scorch the delicate roasted tea powder.
  • Use oat milk for a particularly creamy and naturally sweet dairy-free alternative that complements the roasted flavor perfectly.
  • Holding back the foam with a spoon while pouring allows you to control the final presentation for a professional look.
