03 - Incorporate wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.
04 - Warm vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) to a depth of 2 inches.
05 - With lightly floured hands, form eight dough balls, flatten slightly, and create holes in the center using a floured bottle cap or cutter.
06 - Fry donuts in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden brown; drain on paper towels and cool completely.
07 - Whisk powdered sugar with 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk until smooth; tint with red gel food coloring to achieve a vibrant hue.
